32% of Indian organisations spent $10,000-100,000 in security breaches: Report

The survey covered leading public and private sector security decision makers

A global security survey by Dell revealed that an average 25.5% of Indian organisations spend about 15-30% of their budget on IT.

The report found:

  • 64% of organisations said losing critical business data was the greatest concern for them, 40% said it was malware of the network, 39% voted on employees inadvertently taking data outside corporate networks.
  • 65% organisations voted for increased reliance upon internet and browser-based apps as greatest security threat to their organisation in the next 5 years.
  • After discovering a breach, 27% of organisations said they were able to take immediate action.
