Aptech organizes IT competition for students & faculty awards for teachers
Mumbai: On Saturday, 14th November, 2009, Aptech Computer Education hosted yet another hugely successful ‘Techno Minds’ event in Mumbai. Techno Minds is Aptech’s flagship inter-centre IT competition-cum-knowledge seminar.
The event was hosted exclusively for Aptech’s students pursuing ACCP (an IT career course), and those pursuing Sun Java, Oracle & Red Hat certification courses. Techno Minds saw active participation from West Zone students including those from Mumbai, Gujarat and the rest of Maharashtra.
What’s more, this time, Techno Minds also honored the best faculty in the West Zone with the prestigious ‘Tech Guru’ Award. This Award was given to highlight the faculty member’s achievements in maintaining quality delivery in the classroom as well as expertise in IT.

Panelists for this prestigious event were D. Venkat, Aptech’s Global Academics Head, Aliasger Shaiwala, Head of Aptech Learning Services, and Vinodh Sundaram, Technical Academic Head, Aptech.
Winners
Jignasha Patel of Aptech’s Satellite Centre in Ahmedabad emerged the Tech Guru for the West Zone while Mona Gupta of Aptech Paschim Vihar (Delhi) won the Tech Guru Award for North Zone.

About Techno Minds
Techno Minds is Aptech’s flagship inter-centre students’ competition.
Students at all Aptech centres in a particular region are given specific group projects. Out of the many projects created by students, the top few are short-listed to be showcased during the actual Techno Minds event. Finally, the best two projects among these are declared winners in the ‘Core’ and ‘Advanced’ categories.

Speaking on the occasion of Techno Minds - West Zone, Ninad Karpe, MD & CEO of Aptech Ltd. said: “Techno Minds has evolved to encourage students to exhibit their technical skills in the IT space. It is an attempt to exhibit the technical abilities of students through project application. I am also delighted to introduce the Tech Guru Award to felicitate our faculty members for giving Aptech an edge above the rest.”
